Please at least advise whether the current "Pause not actually Pausing LiveView" implementation is due to a Design Choice or a Limitation of the Canon SDK. It would be Great if the Pause button in Planetary Imaging (and in Frame&Focus) would actually Pause the Camera usage of LiveView, thus removing a hidden source of Sensor Heating while retaining all the other Functionality of Planetary Mode such as the Planetary Image Plan Editor and the 5x Zoom Box. Hopefully a number of BYE Users will be thinking about exploring Planetary Imaging Mode. I'd like to re-emphasize this Feature Suggestion, as Jupiter Imaging Season is starting up. The Live View image will appear on the LCD monitor, and the selected AF point will be displayed.

Before starting Live View shooting, select the AF point. The F&F panel provides substantial information which is still useful even while one might be performing some F&F-related actions to the Camera or the Scope or Mount, which would perpetuate the amount of time that LiveView is running but which one might not wish to lose that F&F Info/Image by switching over to Imaging during the interlude (especially the Image). Perhaps this suggestion is for a later version, but.įrom a User Workflow perspective, it is a bit detrimental to need to change from Frame&Focus to Imaging mode in order to terminate LiveView and reduce Heat Soaking of the DSLR.
